    Exclamation Crank, No Fire

Hey! I have a 2006 325i sedan. Background: About two years ago, I had my belt break and went into my crankshaft. I pulled over instantly when this happened and did not continue to drive the car. My Dad and I used this as a project car to spend time together. We finally have everything back together. I replaced the components that were damaged, all new fluids, etc.

I am having a no fire issue. After doing some research, I know I need to check the crankshaft and cam position sensors. If these are a no go, where should I look next? I have called a local garage who has an independent BMW tech that I will be taking the car to, but I was just trying to get some general things going and possibly get it fixed prior to making an appointment.

It's hard to diagnose through the internet, but I'll try to give you some ideas. You need fuel, air, spark, compression, and timing. Check for spark and fuel pressure first. You might also visually check that the throttle body opens slightly during cranking. You'll probably find something with those tests. If not, proceed to a compression test. If you still come up empty handed, pop the valve cover off and check timing.
    What all did you replace?
