I'm a bit confused as this car and model are completely new to me. I recently bought a 2006 760iL, and along with a laundry list of other issues , it has what appears to be what I see here on the forum referred to as the weep hole problem . I also read in one thread that BMW corrected the problem in 2005 thus meaning it would not be a likely culprit in my '06.
What I would like to ask of you folks is whether that distinction is accurate and therefore how likely are these pipes to fail in 2006 V12 model?
Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated !
I bought 2004 760LI in 2012, had few issues, took care of them. I did not take my 760 to the dealer except to get inspected. I found a shop that was knowlegeable about BMWs . I been happy with this shop. I'm not saying the dealers mechanics don't know whats going on. Change your fluids so you know where you stand. Next drive it you will have as much fun as I have.

I hate to ever be a negativist--however, Ive been a member of this site 10+ years. Most recently I had a beautiful '88 635csi which in over 10 years of ownership , upgraded ,added, repaired and modified just about everything . The information learned and shared on this site was integral to my success and enjoyment of these endeavors . Communicated with many helpful friendly people!
Now with this model I post what I believe is a very common pesky problem, and well....I just don't feel the love!
I don't know whether its indicative of the apathy of the times or if this model generally gravitates away from the do it yourselfer? (yes I was tempted to say "premadonna" but rather keep friendly.
Anyway lets keep it great folks........just my 2c
