Every time I go to turn on my air conditioning on my 2002 330ci, a couple minutes later it starts to smoke. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem and if they had a fix or could at least diagnose my problem, Thank you.
Where is the smoke emitting from, specifically?
Next to the postive terminal under the hood.
I would have to be there to try and diagnose, to many variables.
Have a trusted mechanic examine, give their diagnosis and estimate,
then post back with results.
I have a similar smoking problem and thought it was my valve cover gasket, so I replaced it and still having the same thing happen after a few minutes of turning on the engine.
Make sure it is "smoke". if the interior of the car is warm and humid, cold air from the AC unit can cause condensation - fog - which looks like white smoke. (that is inside the veihcle)
Under the hood, you can get the same effect if there is a high pressure leak in that area. what colour is it and does it smell?
