Anyone try these headers?

Been wanting to put headers on for 15 years LOL

Honestly don't look that much better than non vanos headers

I have the non-vanos headers still not great. Anytime pipes join just outside the exhaust port not good, at least these have separation.

Make sure they use the stainless steel mesh gasket for sealing to the exhaust pipe, rather than flat asbestos gaskets, as shown.
Do a before/after dyno pull to convince yourself that you wasted money and time installing them.
Report back.

Wont matter I have dual 3 inch exhaust no cats.
I just asking if anyone tried them?

I doubt it. Look like the usual eBay cheap knockoff headers. Which to be fair can be "OK" but also can be crap.
One thing that'd be questionable is if they really fit E38 & E39. There are small differences and the old generic cheapo E38 headers that were available in the past didn't fit E39's.
I'd agree w/ statement that they don't look much better than NV headers. Maybe a lot worse if they have crappy poorly located flanges which often seen on cheap headers.
But not to jump to judgement - who knows.

Cheap headers are worse than a waste of money. You'll be swearing up a storm trying to make them fit, changing gaskets all the time because the flanges are crap and be wanting your old stuff back when they rot out. All that for probably no gain, these aren't tuned, for sure.
Want different pipes? I have a NV set from an E34 that ought to work with about the same amount of hassle. Not sure if they be any improvement either.

Yeah. Having returned some eBay headers after wasting hours and hours trying to A. figure out why the didn't fit, B. realizing they were effed up and trying to make them fit... I'd like to have that one back for sure. And those were even ones that were shaped to 'do something'... these... OK... assuming the flange ports aren't all mis-matched... maybe probably an improvement for a facelift car with cats but doubt they're any real notable diffference over the NV ones. Which OP will have already.

You can keep axing but I think the answer is clear (...no... or at least nobody reading this forum...)
We are trying to assplain to you why that's prob the case, but I know your answer will be yet again "yeah yeah but has anyone tried these".
And I bet the answer will still be : No.

strictly speaking a N/A car doesn't have a 'downpipe' as that's really a turbo-term but I know I know can't tell stancekiddiez facts like that so...
what 'top portion'? just the flanges? if you're badass enough to bend and fab runners, making a handful of flanges is the least of your worries. if not that, then the flanges and... what? cut off the collectors and replace them with other collectors? again same answer: if you are badass enough at fab to do that, then you don't need these crap-ass junkpipes as a starter part.

I love how people think out of the box on this site. Always positive.

Absolutely right.
If you're not a BMWCCA member for 20yrs and only use the dealer for all your repairs, you're a scoundrel and a scalliwag and should be drummed out of the marque. That's my motto.
Don't think outside the box - that's me for sure.
Like I'd never manually convert a car that wasn't sold in this market including the custom computer recoding and wiring mods that even dealers can't do, then document the whole process and procedure in painful detail for everybody else to follow.
Like I'd never collaborate with other forum members to fab parts and mods for aftermarket supercharger kits to continually improve function and reliability.
Like I'd never write up a painfully detailed instruction about how to fix your mirror motors using VW and GM components.
I can go on and on, but, you get the idea. Nope. In the box, that's me to a "Tea".
