    275/35/20 fronts

I have a new set of 315/35/20 for my rears but can't decide on whether to put almost new 275/35/20 on the front or keep my old 275/40/20?

Does anyone have pics of what the smaller profile would look like? Is it very noticeable?

The 35 profile are Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT (run flats) while the worn 40 profile are Pirelli Scorpion

Hello and welcome to the forum! I don't think that it'll be that noticeable. How much thread is left on the 275/40?

    Hey thanks for the response

The 40 ones are ~4/32 or so - not much left. The 35 profile are around 9/32

The problem with the scenario you present is NOT in how it LOOKS...but the fact that overall diameter/circumference of the tire size you propose (275/35/20) is almost 4% greater than the stock 275/40/20 & 315/35/20 tire sizes.

When there's a rolling diameter/circumference greater than 3% this can cause issues with the calculations for the ABS/DSC/AWD systems. You may find some of these systems will start to engage some of their features or create warnings in the display as they think that there's slippage or incorrect calculations and begin to engage in certain circumstances.

I would suggest staying within 3% (+/-) tire size specs. Google for a tire size calculator if you need to use tire sizes other than those recommended on the tire inflation label on your driver's door/door jamb & owners manual. That way you will be informed as to if the tire's you purchase have the correct rolling diameter to match the other tire's you have mounted.

What Quicky said. Last thing you wanna do is grenade your t-case, just to save on new tires which you'll have to change soon enough anyways.
