xenon headlight question

I have a problem that I noticed yesterday ...I when the lights were on the right side headlight would flicker out when going over rough or bumpy roads, which triggered the bulb out indicator, then when it flickered back on it triggered the headlight leveler....now most time I never noticed this as I usually do not use the car after dark, only during the daytime and the drls are working fine. My question is, is this a headlight bulb replacement or a loose wiring issue? (as it flickered on and off, it is not burnt out bulb) Also, why does my car not have the halo lights? Is it because I have the xenon lights? Any help/suggestions welcome, thank you

I'm betting it's a wire or a connector issue. The bulb will typically just stop working. You're lucky the lamp is on the right side as it's easier to gain access than the left side!

I took it to the dealership, and guess what...it was the bulb....These xenon bulbs (according to the service mngr) are like florescent lights, they flicker before they go out completely. Go figure, right? I asked what the cost to replace the bulb, and he said they would make me a deal...they would just charge for the bulb and not the labor...(they must have notice my NJ plates, and thought I was visiting TX.) So they replaced the light...problem solved! It only cost me $175.00 + tax for the bulb!!!!! I damm near passed out, and my hand was shaking as I gave them my credit card, almost asked him if I could make monthly installments, LOL LOL

I have the exact same issue with my M3....but worse being an M3 and the much stiffer ride along with Minnesota roads. If you can call them that lol.

Glad that bulbs fixed this issue....time to dip into my Swiss bank account for bulbs....

Check out theretrofitsource.com. They sell Morimoto bulbs, if you have D2S, they are only $50 a pair with lifetime warranty and they are quite good if you ask me. Many other options there as well.

I'll check into this, thanks! All three of my bimmers are Xenon's, for $50/pair and a lifetime warranty I may replace all 3 cars bulbs then.
