Was changing trans fluid today on my 92 850, had all fours off the ground, when done I lowered her and went to start and nothing. She ran fine before lifting her.
I hear clicking from the throttle bodies but no spark...no nothing. I disconnected the batteries thinking I maybe triggered some safety switch but no cigar.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Maybe disconnect battery again, turn the key to start for 30 seconds to drain all caps, and try again?

The answer is always fusible link.
You got to remove the plastic wrap. I had no start issue which was cured by replacing both of the links with some 80Amp ANL fuses. I could not see visible cracks but did see oxidation.
K. Will try that first.

Installed fusible links and still didn't start.
When I turn the key I just get a loud single click from the starter. Should I assume the starter has gone bad or could it be coils?

Ya, no crank. Unfortunately replacing the starter is above my pay grade. Any ideas how much i should expect to shell out for this?

Nope batteries are new and all lights, radio, et. fire up. Pretty sure it's the starter.
