Just checking to see if a set that I got for free would work on my e36 vert.
1997 318i vert.... has stock e46 stlye 44's, 225/45/17 all around on it now.... the wheels are scratched and I wanted to change up... long story short, a buddy gave me a set of his e90 wheels for free....
so, would a set of style 45 reps, 17 x 8 et 20 fit? could I run the same square tire set up? Car is not lowered, stock suspension.
thanks in advance.

Hello - I don't think that you'll have any issues with them. What is the offset of your stock setup?

They'll work fine in front. Might have issues in the rear depending on how wide of a tire you use. I know the stock E36 M3 wheels are ET41 offset, and you need every bit of that in the rear since it runs 245's and there's not much clearance to the fender lip. If you're only using 225's and at stock ride height you might be ok though.

Thanks for the replies.
The previous owner rolled the fenders, not a good job, but should be fine with what's there.
A 20mm offset wheel is not going to fit fine. The wheels are going to sit out almost a full inch toward your fender from the stock wheels.
