Oil filter location 2011 X3 3.0 d

Hi I have recently purchased a 2011 X3 with 3.0d engine (F25) . I need to carry out an oil and filter change but I cannot find/see the oil filter in the engine compartment. U tube videos do not appear to cover this model.

Is the filter located under the all embracing air filter assembly ( and how does one get this off without breaking any unseen connectors?
or is it accessed via the underbody engine /sump cover.

Any helpful responses please. Dont want to start dissembling the engine from the wrong end!!!

It's on top, underneath the covers and air filter.
