2000 BMW 540i Sport Touring - 90k mi - AT

2000 BMW 540i Sport Wagon. I bought this car in January 2015 from the first owner in California, and had it brought to me here in VA. I have dozens more photos I can share, along with copies of invoices. Please ask. The first owner purchased the car 'new' in 2010 from BMW. It was 'pulled from the line' in 2000 and used between 2000 - 2010 as a training vehicle for BMW. They sold the vehicle in 2010 with 2,438 miles on it. I have a copy of the title from BMW of North America in 2010, as well as the previous owner's written account of the car's history. I used the vehicle between 2015 and February 2017, driving between Baltimore and Richmond. It has a clear Virginia title. I have a slew of documentation for all work performed performed while I've had it. Can send invoices; please ask.

I have three key fobs and one valet key. Only one of the fobs has a functioning battery. All the power locks work.

The interior is clean. All the pixels on the dashboard work. Leather is clean and untorn. Driver's side bolster shows some wear, but otherwise seats and carpets are good. Floormats show their age, but are clean. Spare tools are present, spare wheel is present. Sunroof works, but isn't tracking straight. Headliner is clean and there's no sagging.

Exterior also presents nicely. The hood, passenger fender, and grill were replaced after a fender-bender in 2016. These parts were all painted and the match is great. The finish on the wheels is coming off; they're totally functional, but aesthetically they'll need to be redone. Tires were replaced in 2015.

Drivetrain is strong. The motor makes great power, the transmission shifts cleanly, and it starts effortlessly. The catalytic converters are in need of replacement; once warmed up, they're not letting the car breath enough and the back pressure causes the check engine light to come on. The car still has a valid VA safety and emissions stickers.

Please ask questions. It's a fantastic car with a shed load of recent work done to it. We replaced it because the back seat didn't have the anchors for car seats in 2000, and we needed those.
