Looking for BAY AREA COLLISION REPAIR

Hey all, I was wondering if any of you guys know of a good shop in the Bay Area that can repair some frame damage on my e36 M. This won't be going through insurance as the accident was my fault so I need a shop that's willing to go without insurance. Anything helps thanks guys!

Insurance companies pay the shop cash.
You can pay the shop cash.
    No shop refuses cash.

That's what I thought until I tried about 5 places and they all said insurance only. I'm pretty sure shops deal with insurance only cause they can make more dough by charging whatever they want.

This. It's practically like healthcare. They only want jobs that have no incentive to save money.

I've never heard of that. Usually Insurance pays them as little as possible by the way... that's how insurance works (healthcare included). They never pay for the parts you really need (China garbage in place of OEM) and they set the pricing for labor. The only benefit to the shop dealing with insurance only is weeding out people who say they will pay and can't.

While insurance companies do negotiate pricing for services with shops and clinics, it's all too often for jobs that wouldn't have been taken on otherwise. Because, hey, it's insured, right? This increase in demand for work has the long term effect of artificially raising prices above market equilibrium.

Maybe this body shop likes to quote low and hit ins. companies with supplements.
