Completely stock look bluetooth retrofit

So I found a guy on ebay making CD43 with bluetooth and ones that even show the track name, but he wasn't sure about doing it for the E38 setup.

An idea I had was to canibalize the existing Tape deck and do a retrofit like the one in the video.

I want something even less obvious, but thats the only example I could find a video on.

Its not an in dash Nav or anything, but my needs are very simple. I just want ease of bluetooth playback on music. I don't need a nav system driving around town which is 98% of my driving in the E38.

Thoughts?

Wait, you did the bluetooth rewire or the box that wires in the back?

I don't see how DSP would affect the solder job on the existing C43 Tape deck.

But if you have already done that then it would save me the trouble of trying!

To clarify, I was referring to the youtube link, the C43 solder job to make bluetooth work.

You tried the box in the back, ok.

But I don't see an issue with the C43 solder job and Bluetooth Button.

Ok, update.

I was FINALLY able to persuade someone who retrofits BT into the CCC module to do it for me on the C23 that comes with the E38 DSP setup.

For some reason everyone who does this or did this in the past is completely uninterested in doing it again, no money would persuade them and they weren't friendly with the particulars.

I hope to get the modded C23 back in the coming week and I will update accordingly.

Or one other thing I thought about using a CD43 since those are more commonly BT'd but I had an issue with the backlight on the LCD NEVER turning off, even once the car had "gone to sleep" so just safer to retrofit the C23 that works.
