Any option other than the $330 cowl gasket price? Could have sworn these were in the low $200 just a couple of years ago.
Working on the 325 reminds me how much I LOVED my old Jeep Wrangler. A bus ate it.
What exactly are you looking for? The Cowl/screen cover is only $70 at ECS

Convertible Top to windshield gasket.
Sorry but in the US 325 looks to be going price. https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...uine-bmw-part/
Did fine one for 4253 but it's in Europe and I have no idea what shipping would be or even if they would sell to the US. https://www.etkbmw.com/bmw/de/parts/...uf/54318204146
Thanks. When I try to buy it says not available.
Looks like a trip to the weatherstripping department at Lowes or Home Depot is in your future.
JD can a successful gasket be made?
I do not know, but for the price of the factory part, I'd try to make one myself.
Check the JC Whitney catalog. they sell parts to rebuild/restore your Ford. There is another catalog that sells parts for Chevy, and I assume there has to be one for Mopar. You need to find a cross section that matches the seals on your BMW. What you are looking for is the rubber seal that goes around the doors.
IDK the the convertible top cowl gasket has a unique profile. I'm taking the painful $300 BMW gasket but will use the old gasket to see if it is possible to make one on the cheap.
I didn't realize the cowl gasket includes and is molded to the front window gasket. Still $300 is painful.
