Another E31 claimed by mystery fire (not mine)

I park mine in a private garage and after reading this thread i unpluged the negatives last night since i mostly take it out on weekends, well today i had to take it for a drive and i got high idle.
I thought it is supposed to sinc itself after running for 20 kms. Do you have to do the sinc procedure everytime you disconnect the batteries?

If all power is lost for more than say an hour you will probably have to sync. Maybe normal driving will work

My 840 went on fire started in modules under the dash I was lucky was out shopping and reg was called out in store I was able to disconnect batteries just in time check out my pictures
