Hello everyone
I recently bought one bmw 320i 2014 and it's an incredible car but i having just one problem : When i unlock the car, it will horn 2 times very loud and one small horn and sometimes it's very annoying I searched the forum and never found something like that, so to be easier to explain my problem, i posted a link showing in the youtube :

If anyone know what is it, please let me know! Thank you!
It's possible your car is coded to do that by the previous owner, i've seen that as an option in my Car-ly OBD-II coder.
Wow - that would be annoying AF!
Ive coded this on my car but it’s a single low volume almost silent chirp. Does the car have the standard alarm or an aftermarket?
I recently bought a 2016 2 series convertible and it makes the exact same series of honks when unlocking the car. Exactly like the YouTube video the prior commenter created. And it IS extremely annoying.
It honks if the doors lock/unlock setting is set to audible or not.
Any idea how I can fix this?
The horns are notorious for failing on these. If it is still under warranty they should replace both of them.
I’ve got a setting in idrive to enable/disable the chirping alarm sound but as I said above for me it’s a chirping sound and not a horn honk. My sons Golf GTI makes the horn honk when the audible alarm setting is enabled and it’s bloody annoying.
Mine does exactly the same as that!
I returned home after a few months away, during which time the vehicle wasn't used. I had to trickle charge it back to life and ever since then the horn will sound twice when I unlock it. (Sometimes when I'm returning to my car I look to see if anyone is nearby so I can watch it scare the crap out of them )
I've tried using the Carly BMW coder but none if the codes say anything about an audible confirmation on unlock So there's £100 I'm not getting back. I also used the App to clear a load of error messages but still no joy.
Has anyone had any success with this?
