Hello everyone.
I parked the car last night for 15 minutes and went to start it again, no bueno. Pop started it and drove it home.
Putting a volt meter to the battery and pressing the start button does not make the voltage drop on the meter.
Putting a volt meter to the jumper ports in the engine compartment and pressing the start button does not make the voltage drop on the meter.
Finally, placing the meter on the positive lead on the starter, pressing the start button does not cause a voltage drop on the meter. No power to the starter. Is there a relay switch? Or is it fuse 15 and/or 30 to check?
I also want to note that placing the meter to ohms, there is continuity from the White lead to the positive lead on the starter..
Thanks in advance..

Get a new starter.

Why wouldn't the volt meter show a voltage drop when I pushed the start button? Even if the starter was bad, I should still see a drop. I don't think any power is getting to the starter..
To "go get a starter" means spending 8 hours putting it in, or spending at least a grand at a dealership. So I'm trying to make absolutely certain..
I can guarantee you it's dead. If the starter isn't turning, it's not drawing any current. Therefore you won't see any change in the voltage.
If you want to prove it to yourself, remove the intake manifold, to access the starter. Take off the small white wire with the black connector. Use a jumper wire to jump from the thick red wire to the terminal on the starter. When the starter doesn't run, you just proved that it's dead. I've been in the game for 12 years now. I know a little something about these cars.
