    engine physical measurements

wasn't there a thread somewhere regarding physical measurements? I'm trying to find the length of the M50(M52) and M30B35 but for the life of me cannot find the thread i'm thinking of.

Did you find what you need? I have an M30 I could measure, and I have an M50 vanos valve cover.

I'll get some rough, in situ, measurements from my M30 535 and M52/M52tu later in the day. Not sure how helpful they'll be but I've been brewing over a swap of my own so having those rough dimensions will let me know how silly I am thinking.
    What are you brewing up?

Forgot to measure today but will in the morning. A friend has a Z3 and I remember the engine bay being tight around the M52, worse than my E39s.
I have a 700# lump of Ford sitting on a stand with no home. Idle mind and all

it's very tight. that's where this started actually. my dad saying "you should take the motor from your E34 and stick it in here" and me saying "i don't think it'll fit"
