I am sick of the 'German Black Dust' from the brake pads on the wheels of my stock 2002 Z3 3.0 Roadster. If I remember right, I bought Carbon Lorraine pads for my black beauty 98, and that did the trick. Am I on the right track?
Hello - take a look at the link below, both the Cool Carbon and Hawk HOS pads also minimize the amount of brake dust that collects after fully bedded.

Ceramic pads will dust the least.
I agree with pbonsalb. I would use a ceramic pad. If your goal is just to lower brake dust with stock stopping ability then I would switch to Hawk Ceramics. If you want less brake dust, slightly better stopping, and pads that last longer then I would switch to PFC Z-Rated pads.
My Current Garage:
Once they are warm, they are really good, have great initial bite and are easy to modulate. On a hot 80 day, they require no 'warm up'.
They are not dust-less as I recall.
I've done some light track work with them also, much better than stock.

You should see a slight improvement in Performance but as bluptgm3 said they are not dustless and can be used for light track work (no pad is built perfectly to handle street and track without compromises). They do provide less dust then stock pads. I prefer them for what I mentioned earlier - especially since they last longer then other pads.

No problem, hope you like them. I get them from BimmerWorld. They have the best stock of PFC stuff for BMWs.

On the West Coast that might be Porterfield.
Ask for Suzy's List discount.....and if asked, you owned or own an E36 M3, say "yes" and that "I recall when Jim Conforti weighed-in on early E36 M3 tuning....before partnering with Eurosport High Performance and Jay from Ground Control" for suspension upgrades."
