    bmw-planet.net not working

    Hello!

I tried to find a diagram on bmw-planet.net (first time using WDS).

So I did install SVG and did the Java security thing.

When I try to search for IHKA/climate control/AC unit, nothing happens.

So I looked into the console, and a couple errors pop up.
When I load the site I get this error: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found).

Each time I press search, I get this error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'searchFirst' of undefined at searchFirst (basic.js:245)
    at HTMLInputElement.onclick (bottom.htm:24)

I tried to make it work on Chrome, IE, IE with emulation, and an oilder version of Mozilla, but none seem to work.

Anyone knows how I can fix this?

    Thanks in advance
    Szymon

It sounds like that website has issues, there is nothing you can do to fix it.

You could try contacting the webmaster.

Well, I guess I'll have to do that then. Nothing seems to fix the site, and also no responses on my thread looking for the ac unit pinout.
Buying connectors from a guy soon, and I don't know which one I need to power the unit at home .
Found the cluster diagram and radio MID display diagram, but not the climate control one :/.

You don't indicate the vehicle model, so searching here may help:http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/

Oh, sorry. I am looking for an e39 diagram .

Sadly the e39 manual isn't on that website :/.

Did they maybe have a shared manual with a different car model?

This is exactly what I was looking for!

I have a small problem tho.

This is the unit that I have: http://i.imgur.com/EaIr3Bw.jpg

It was fitted into the 525i, 528i, 530i,540i and M5, from 97-03, of what I managed to find out.

Now when I choose E39 525i for example, and find the heater A/C control unit, I can choose between a couple different units.

As you can see on the picture (imgur link), the unit has four plugs, 3 of them being black, and one being blue.

None of the units on the websites have 4 connectors.

All of them have 5 connectors, but one, which has 3.

Now I am not sure which diagram would be the right one in this situation, as they different pinouts.

Also on some connectors it says colour=natural. What does natural mean? I have only black and blue :/.

    Any help ?

Thanks in advance, and for the help you already gave me!

The connector I don't seem to have is the 6 pin black connector.

Both the 3 connector unit and the 5 connector unit on the website has the 6-pin connector, which I don't have. Strange?

I don't have the vin-number, as I bought the interior from a parted out car. Don't even know which exact verion/year it was, but I looked through units on ebay, and found one which looks exactly same. Looked at the pinouts for models and years the unit fits, but all of them have a 6-pin black connector which I don't.

My unit has: 26-pin blue connector, 12-pin black connector, 3-pin black connector and a 3-pin large sized connector (bigger pins).

Managed to find the guy I bought the parts from, I hope he still has/remembers the vin number .

But it's so strange. None of the pinout diagrams fit. There is a 6-pin connector on all models, all years :/.

Try to match the face here:https://picclick.ca/BMW-E39-5ies-AC-...457501137.html
Then maybe you can find clues to part #'s or rear photos, or even contact and speak to the seller for info.

One step closer to finding the right thing now I guess.

One of the climate control units, which has an IDENTICAL front, did actually have a 5th connector, which was 6-pin.
    https://picclick.ca/BMW-E39-5-series...l#&gid=1&pid=2

So now I atleast know that it isn't a diagram error, and that units with 5 connectors exist.

Now, my question is, why the hell can't I find any diagrams which don't have this 6-pin connector .

This unit was only used and installed in Euro models, not US market:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...055&series=E39
Here is another place to search diagrams:http://workshop-manuals.com/bmw/

My unit is from EU too (living in Norway), and has only 4 connectors?

This is the only unit with the same face as mine, but 5 connectors.

Also after I looked up the serial number of the part, it looked same, but had a it different text on top? (insted of 03(C) like mine, it said 05(C). Does that change anything?

Also here is a link to the top of my unit, if it helps: http://imgur.com/9x63qK4

On the picture in this link, it seems as the unit is connected by only to cables, using the 3-pin molex-like connector (X18341).

    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/172774712232?rmvSB=true

The pinout of the connector is:

Pin 1 - Voltage supply, terminal 30 for throttle actuator - Fuse F9
Pin 2 - Positive supply, magnetic clutch - High pressure switch
    Pin 3 - Ground - Ground connector x219

    Is that possible?

That is the only ground the unit has, but there are 2 more voltage supply pins on the big blue connector.

Also all the voltage supplies are 12v, right?

Thank you so much for your help.
So far you have done the most work, haha .

Managed to get bmw-planet.net to work, but it basically shows the same thing as newtis.info.
Also shows the 6-pin connector which I don't have.

Got in contact with one of the sellers tho. He said that he powers the unit only with the 3-pin molex-like connector, and that he will send me a pic.
Our units look exactly same (both front and the connectors), so I hope I won't fry my unit .
