This seems to be an electronic unit.
If I am getting an error code, Fuel Pressure Reg 1 control circuit low, could this be the issue.

O.K...so I have my coil wire situated.
I have INPA up and running...whatever that is worth... still learning what all of it means
The Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 control circuit low keeps plaguing me. I have had intermittent issues since I have had the car.
I only see one fuel filter and one pressure regulator. I put in a brand new pressure regulator back in October.
Could the pressure regulator have gone bad this quick.
Did the fuel injector cleaner I put in the tank gum up the regulator?
I have random misfires on both banks.
I also went and got some MAF cleaner today to clean out both MAFs...they were not dirty but I cleaned them anyway.
Where next?
Bad regulator or pump. Use brake cleaner\propane and see if it affects idle.

I used the MAF cleaner around the engine hoses and it did not change the idle. I did lift up the back seat and I have two fuel pumps...that does not look like they have ever been changed.
Left one, other is the level sender.
M73 switched from 2 pumps and filters to one.

so am I looking at a new fuel pump then?
Check the reg first
So It looks like all of my Misfires moved to the other bank when I moved the ignition coil to bank 7-12.
So if I am going to replace them, should I just replace both at the same time?

I also found out why I could not connect to my engine using INPA.
I have the
DME 5.2 for M73 right
DME 5.2 for M73 left
Both of these would not connect.
The only thing I could connect to was the EML for M73
Turns out that I need the 9 pin serial connector (which I have a 9pin serial port on my laptop) to USB and set up INPA to use ADS instead of ODB.
I have been pulling my hair out, uninstalling and reinstalling the damn program and was doing it wrong each time based of F'ing Youtube videos.

And I remember correctly you have to connect to "chassis" then navigate thru ecu...inpa would not navigate thru ecu directly like 740 does. And using the circle plug under the hood will communicate with everything...I was not able to communicate with everything using obd port.
Thank You! I did not know this.
My wire should be home by the time I get there and I will try it.
I have my laptop with me...and I dont think I can go through the chassis.
The only options I have are
ABS5 ASC5 DSC5 DSC3
Electronic angle sensor (which Im not messing with because I dont know what the hell im doing)
Tire Pressure Control RDC (Which I dont think I have)
Deflation warning system DWS (Which I dont think I have)

UPDATE!
XAlt Thank you for the advise on my car and Mooll, thank you for having the part.
I did not think it was possible to love my car any more than I did.
First, it was a bad Coil. I picked one up locally and I am waiting for the one Mooll sent me.
I changed the bad coil...but I kept getting that P0091 fuel pressure regulator 1 control circuit low. error
My gut told me it was not the fuel pump.
I know I changed the pressure regulator with a good one.
I know I changed the fuel filter.
I followed the fuel line into the engine bay
Followed that under the plastic shroud on top of the manifolds and I saw that line go to the fuel rail.

That Clamp is an original clamp.
It was screwed on so tight that it was broken.
I could move the clamp with my finger...so it was not holding pressure.
My thoughts
If this was loose, Then the fuel rail was NOT holding the 3.5 bar at the fuel rail.
This could possibly make the computer think there was something wrong with the fuel pressure regulator even if it was new.
Now that it is probably holding the correct pressure, the module that monitors this ( dont know if there is one or not) says, O.K the Fuel pressure regulator is good.
AND, now that the fuel pressure in the rail is correct, each cylinder is getting the proper fuel and no misfires.
I moved the hose just a little bit and fuel squirted out a bit.
Went to the hardware store and got another one and clamped that thing down.
Cleared all the codes.
Started it up
It took a minute or so for it to calm down...but when it did...NO CODES!
Drove it around the block...NO CODES.
Took it through town...NO CODES...
So far so good!
When I was at a stop light...I could not tell the engine was on. It idled at about 400 rpms. I pulled over into a gas station turned everything off and heard only a slight hum...like a fan was running. Got out..and I had to bend down half way to the hood to hear the engine.
This car did not run this smooth since I had it.
I am I wanted to share this because I am TRULY Grateful to be a part of this group. You guys are great.
One thing I wanted to note. I disconnected the batteries for about a half hr to an hr.
I dont know if this has anything to do with my car running smoother or not.
