    Rheingold (ISTA+) OBD.INI file missing

    Hello all,

I've installed the ISTA+ and following the configuration instructions i found out that my OBD.INI file is missing from the Ediabas\bin folder. Could any of you guys help me by making a copy/paste from notepad into this thread of the contents of that file. I have the INPA software with that specific file name so i guess it would be a matter of duplicating it into the ISTA folder and replace its contents.
    Or am I missing something.....?

    thanks

Slightly out of left field here, but if the cause of your question is INPA/ISTA+ not seeing the car, the OBD file missing may not be the issue. My INPA installation is missing the OBD.ini file for some reason, but it seems that INPA fuctions fine without it, as long as you can mold the rest of your configuration around it. In my case, it was simply forcing my cable (USB-OBD) to run on COM1, along with the USB-Serial changes outlined in the configuration instructions. Worked liked a charm.

    Hello,
    Thanks for the reply.
I was just referring to the instructions manual in pdf that came with the ista+ files (Guide to ISTA+) where its advised to change the settings of the OBD.INI file to port COM9 (page 9)
So you say that your installation had this file missing and worked OK?

    I'll try it out.

    Thanks
