Lower E92 w/o Affecting Ride Quality

There are lots of posts re lowering the car, but they don't exactly answer my question.

I am a "waxer" not a "racer". I'd like to improve the appearance of my BMW (2011 E92) by lowering the car about one inch without altering the ride quality. I'm not looking for any handling improvement over stock (not worse though). I don't want any alignment problems. I don't drive much, so tire wear is not an issue.

Any thoughts? Thanks for any reply.

Conclusion 090617: After reading the following replies and talking to Tire Rack, I've decided to NOT lower my car. Thanks for the input.

Im in the same boat as you. I found these, did a little bit of research on them and they seem to be pretty good for the price. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet, I'm probably gonna wait a month or two then order them. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-solo_wer...s/s1bw005~sow/

When you lower a car, the suspension is allowed less travel to perform its dampening duties. What this means is that when you lower a car, everything gets tighter and consequently, the ride quality is going to be affected. If you want to lower your car just for the appearance, the question will be one of whether it is worth it to you to sacrifice a bit of ride quality for aesthetics.

Right. No matter what you do, the ride quality will be affected.
