CSF Aluminum Radiator for 2000 Z3MC.

A support rep at Bimmerworld assures me this CSF all-aluminum radiator will fit the MY2K Z3 M Coupe as a drop-in fit. Anybody got experience with the install or opinions about the quality of this unit? It's made in Indonesia, which is... of interest.

I am considering replacing the OEM radiator as part of a Spal electric fan kit / mech fan delete procedure. Yes, the listings in both cases only mention compatability up to MY 1999, but the online tech said they're both good to go on a 2000.

    The Radiator:

    Spal fan kit:

    Thanks in advance for wisdom!

I have purchased 3 of these fans on Amazon, for my sold Z3, my wife's E36 325i, and my Z3M. Been very satisfied with them. $55 is better than $170, but I have no idea whether the Spal will last longer.

I haven't had a good experience with that SPAL fan; I had two (2) start chucking blades on a customer's (CarlM for those that remember him) supercharged 2.8 rdstr.

No apparent faults with mounting__like no tension/stress on the shroud__but definitely some issues.

Last failure resulted in a switch to a Hayden fan, and so far (3+yrs) no more phone calls

Hayden with curved "S" blades is an order of magnitude quieter too!

Me too. Does it fit? I have exchanged radiators between my 98 Z3M and my wife's E36, so I know stock rads are the same. But I can't get confirmation that the CSF 3054 will fit in my 1998 Z3M. ECS doesn't know. I have a question in to CSF, but no response yet.

I'm running a CFS on my 98M Roadster. Perfect fit and works great.

I'm kind of curious about this one based on the price ($85 for CSF OEM+ radiator): https://www.bimmerworld.com/Cooling/...8-325-323.html

Who knows if it is actually higher quality than stock though...

To clear this question up: I just put the CSF 3054 in my 98 Z3M. It fit fine. But... the stock expansion tank would hit the engine. I don't have this problem because I already did the conversion to the exp tank above the D.S. wheel, (stock for later model Z3). I recommend this conversion anyway. It's cheap, cleans up the area around the radiator, and raises the exp tank above the radiator.
