Hello everyone. Looking to purchase an E93 M3 so I went to test drive and there is a clicking noise on initial acceleration and when the pedal is released. The car is a DCT, and aside from this noise, looks to be in beautiful shape. I was able to find a video on You Tube of the exact problem, unfortunately no one was able to discover the problem for the youtuber. I'm hoping one of you has heard this noise before. Thanks for the help.

I have the same, for some time. Inspected drive shaft and flex disc, looked good, could not replicate noise. Axles and differential the same, not sure what it is. Seems drive train related but maybe it is something on the rear suspension as I feel sometimes it gets also triggered going over a bump and in right turns.
Prop-shaft issue. Needs rebuild or replaced.
I have an entirely different issue. I just bought a 2008 E93. The previous owner emptied the cats and now there is an exhaust leak on the top of the right cat. That being said I have this chugging noise at low RPM coming from the transmission area. It seems to be in 1-3 gear and not so prominent in the upper gears. Could be leak in cat but I don't think so. Also I posted in another thread about a rattle noise coming from shift lever mostly in 4th and 6th gear. Rattle seems to be in sync with chugging noise. I would like to find some stock cats to replace but will get the leak welded in the meantime. I do not have emission test where I live. Also he had the stock rear muffler mod done and its just too loud. Sorry to say but it sounds like a 5.0. Anybody have some stock cats and a stock muffler for sale?
