    US, European, or Plate Delete?

    Hey guys.

    So I live in Colorado and I have a TPR (Transporter) plate on my car, in the back. In Colorado, a front plate is mandatory, unless you have a TPR plate like me.

    So currently I have no front plate. I have the US bracket and I'm not sure if I should put the chrome BMW plate on it, get a European bracket and a European plate, or do a plate delete.

    Is the US Chrome BMW plate too over the top?
    Is it ricey if I put a European plate on my car?
    Is it too bland if I do a plate delete?

    I need help, any input is greatly appreciated. I'll post pictures below.

    Never been a fan of the euro plate. My vote is plate delete, but I in general don't think cars should need/use front plates. I think the chrome BMW plate would be good as well, those look nice too imo.

    I vote front plate delete if not required by law to have one.

    Silver plate reminds me of a crowned buck tooth.

    definitely plate delete. see my sig photo. The only way I would say no to the plate delete is if your front bumper had so many road chips that exposing the area behind the plate emphasized the road chips. with silver paint though, you should be fine.

    A little OT, but think the Euro plate insert/holder on the trunk would like nice, since it complements the wide stance of the E38. Anyone know if the euro rear plate holder bolts on with no mod? There already is an old thread for this, but no one responded to it.

    I vote plate delete and if you need to mount your front plate I am using a quick release mount that is pictured below, it fits right on the horizontal slats in the bumper. The mount can be purchased from here http://carbonio.com/performance/bran...latemount.html it is the same one I am using on my Ferrari 328

    I think you have to replace the rear license plate holder with one from the Euro side of the part database...it is wider than the same part made for the US side of the part database. YOu can see how it is secured to the rear of the vehicle in the diagram below.

    The Euro rear plate holder is #23 in the diagram and link to the Euro side of the part database below. If you click on #23 at this Euro database link...you will see that it is not the same part nbr offered for e38s for the USA market:

    http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E3...for_trunk_lid/

    {pasted the Euro part number in a google search box and got stuff like this}

    {rear Euro plate holder}

    {rear USA plate holder}

    Plate delete is clean! Some states hate no front plate cars when you go through though.

    I have the front plate delete, a tow hook plate mount, and the European plate trunk panel. I haven't painted the trunk panel yet since it blends in pretty well with my black car, but it was pretty easy to install. I ended up drilling two holes into my plate to mount it. Here are some pics (hopefully they attach correctly):20170715_202501.jpg20170715_203043 (1).jpg20170715_203243.jpg20170715_203312.jpg
