Harman Kardon 20W 2 Ohm 2 1/4" speaker replacement - upper door near wing

I've searched all over this afternoon, but cannot for the life of me find a replacement for the "2 inch" midrange door panel speaker (2002 model). I've searched the threads here, ebay, google, etc. The only hits I get are $400 for whole system replacements and then one a-hole that wants $$$$ for a used part. I just need a silly little crappy 2" speaker. The ground lead somehow got pulled out of the cone and the tab broken off the body, most likely me trying to lube the window tracks 10 years ago.

The speaker has two mounting ears spaced about 3 inches apart. The narrow part of the body is 2 1/4". The speaker itself is 1 3/4". The part number is 65.13-6 902 835 but that results in no matches at all. I guess I must be tripping today and not looking at the right places.

Any help/advice is much appreciated. The passenger side is fine. Except for the sub woofer being replaced, the junky HK HiFi is stock. I'm not looking to upgrade, just to get the mid range back in the door panel.

Of course, I expect a number of replies with eBay listings for replacements... For some reason, I just cannot get any right now.

    Thanks!

I probably have a used one out in the shop. I can check it to be sure it works, but other than that it would be as is and priced accordingly. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Try 65138374982. That seems to be the number that supersedes. ECS Tuning has them for $56.

    I have a 65 13 8 400 389. It is 4 ohm 4 watt. It show as the early version for the HK (4-97 through 99)

Hopefully this link works. Parts Express has 15 2" midranges at 4ohm:

I'd bet you can get one of them to fit?

I think these will fit the hole and mounts. Unsure about depth.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Stevef, that one looks like it could fit. Seems to be the one used in the E46 and the 5 series. The one in my Z3 sure looks cheap in comparison. i’ve PM’d you. Thanks.

The 65138374982 will fit, but is 8 ohms. Well, at least I know of some alternatives. I am in no hurry to fix this anyway. I had a bear of a time getting the panel back on. I don’t look forward to taking it off again.

Potxoli, something like that may work if I trim off the extra two "ears". Thre seems to be a lot of room to work with, but I would have to check the depth. Steve f suggested using a repair service for the OEM part. I checked into that and the cost would be about $40 or so. Nevertheless, the whole HK system is not that great to start with. One missing mid-range is almost unnoticeable to me. I'm thankful for everyone's suggestions and have a place to start. I'm going to put this on a back burner for now.

One cool thing that came out of this was I got to lube up my tracks and make my slow window work as new. I bought new window slider pucks last year and was going to install them, but never got around to it. Since I had the panel off, I figured I should tackle it. Well, I got one clip off and got chicken about forcing out the lifting pin, since it was very close to the glass. The puck looked absolutely perfect to me, but the tracks were nearly completely dry. I lubed up all the tracks I could get to with blue marine wheel bearing grease and tested the window. Zipped up and zoomed down.
