2008 ALPINA B7 - CD Magazine issue

Just bought B7 #89638 last weekend and am absolutely amazed by this car. I have one problem though with the 6-disc CD changer above the glove box. Seems that the magazine won't release and that is keeping the trap door open. Anyone have any advice short of dismantling the complete interior?

Something to try. In my 2002 E65 had this happen. It may be the same for yours but worth a try before pulling apart.
In the trunk on the fuse and relay panel on mine there's a switch. Turn that off and leave for a few hours. Everything will gradually go to sleep and turn off. Then after a few hours turn it back on and try. May have to do that a few times. If no success try disconnecting the battery also. Get someone to hold the eject button when turning the trunk switch on is also worth a try.

These cars can get a software bug and a bit like a computer restarting everything sometimes fixes it.
