    Insurance...Grundy vs Hagerty

I have been with American Collectors for a number of years with my 79 635csi I was looking to add my 850 since it is not a daily driver. American Collectors is quite a bit higher than expected, with lower payout values and big deductibles. I am now looking at Hagerty and Grundy, with better values placed on both of the cars, no deductibles, and quit cheaper price. So my question is...what opinions are out there as to which of the two companies is better?

I've used Grundy almost as long as I've owned my 8, just about 8 years now. I've had one claim for a cracked windshield that occurred coming back from the Left Coast 8 Fest. The claim's agent on the telephone, at the time I called, was able to locate a Sekurit (BMW OEM supplier) windshield on a ship in the middle of the Atlantic heading towards the east coast. He flagged it and had it sent to Vegas upon its' arrival at port. I was very pleased with their professionalism and customer service. Not to mention, it didn't cost me anything, not even my time for the install as they came to me.

I have been with Hagerty since purchase. You decide value, etc, and they decide the premium. I have set my value at 20k, and pay $500 for a year for my 97 here in the midwest. No claims so far.

I have American Collectors, around $650 for a year, 0 deductibles and 30k agreed upon value. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
