Eccentric shaft sensor and Valve cover bolts

Ready to do the eccentric shaft sensor replacement. My question is, since my 2010 328i has steel VC bolts...do I still need to replace them? Thanks guys

The bolts are only replaced if they are aluminum. You have a N52K engine which uses steel bolts, no need for replacement.

You didn't get a cheap eccentric shaft sensor did you? If you did, you may be doing the job again pretty soon.

There are after market sensors that you can get that are significantly less expensive than the "good" ones. Those are what I am referring to as cheap. I think the one I got was made by VDO. I think I paid around $200 for it.

I replaced mine with a VDO, no issues here.
