Setting time and date to MID

I'm having a problem to set time and date to MID. I'm pretty sure i'm doing it right but everytime i set the correct time and push "set/res" it deletes the numbers and shows --:-- again.

What's the catch?

Are you trying to set a 24h format time, with AM/PM in the display?

Hit KM/MLS first, to switch to 24h clock, then try again.
