Found a way to triple the range of my OEM remote

Maybe I'm the only one but the range of my key fob is about 10 feet. Kind of annoying. Even my e36 was about 100 feet. There's an old trick where you put the fob against your forehead then press the button and it extends the range. This actually works but it only extends the range to about 15 feet.

Ok this isn't the most sanitary solution but it works. If you put the tip of the key in your mouth and press the button the car will unlock from about 30-40 feet away. I've tried it several times.

    Just a variation of the:
Placing tip of key touching your chin, while pressing fob.

+1 I can get 20-25 feet this way.

What you can also do is get the battery replaced, as it ages, it cannot push that much power out anymore. I like this guy: www.bmwgm5.com Pretty much get a whole new key for 50-60 bucks isn't too bad of a deal!
