I have 08 650i sport with 66k miles on it. I have owned it a few years now. Stored for the winters. I am not an aggressive driver - just an occasional blast. I have done intake and exhaust mods. I have noticed that sometimes during one of my blast that the car really takes off like a raped ape compared to how it feels most of the time. My question is there somehow to check the operation of the Vanos? I have a six spd so I think I can feel the difference in power easier than if it was an automatic. And yes I did notice the same thing before the last mod - the intake.
Also other things I notice are hard starting, hiccups, boggs at lower rpms occasionally
