I know I said it was possible to fit the ball n chains up front, but coincidentally have just had discussions with the wife, and am now in the process of dumping my 84k mile 530iA sedan and getting a touring so the doge can atleast lay down in the back. Good compromise if I do say so myself.

Exactly why we are taking the wrx hatch cross country instead and shipping the 530

nice. GSD. Mine is Chinook, 8mo, but she shows her shepard heritage strongly, everybody assumes she's a shep-mix... which is true in a way... like 100yrs ago...

Do some searching and you'll see many uship horror stories.
Sometimes, you get what you pay for.

    Reliable quoted me $2998,
Intercity gave me a quote for $2095

Thanks for following up with the quotes.
Interesting to see such a big difference.

Depends on how much you value your car, I guess. Since I pay under $5k for most of my cars, it makes no sense to spent $2k-$3k shipping them. The worst thing a shipper can really do is damage the suspension and/or bumpers, both of which are relatively inexpensive things to fix if you're a savvy DIY'er. I haven't had any issues yet, and I've shipped cars a few times with U-Ship at this point.

I assure you there's no way in my right mind I would pay 2k+ on my $5k car for shipping if the company weren't picking up the tab. It'd be uship all the way if my credit card was on the line.
