Just discovered a crack in my tail light. The outer one. Not the trunk lid one. Car is a 2004 330 vert. It has clear LED tails not Amber. Realoem says replacements have to be specific to another vert. Can anyone confirm this?

Unlike the E-36, only Vert lamps seem to fit verts. You would think coupe and vert lights should fit each other like the fenders, but even the lights in the trunk lid fall into the same category.
Not sure why BMW uses a different lamp for each model.
