Hello,
In my 07 335i sedan manual twin turbo, I got two fault codes today. One regarding my High Pressure Fuel Pump (Code 2AAF) and another about my Turbocharger (Code 30FC). I know that BMW had a 10 year / 120K mile voluntary warranty on the HPFP for my model, but does anyone know if they still honor this?
Thank you!
Yea the dealer run the vin for starters and see if there is the extended warranty for this listed on the vehicle history they will still have to diagnose first
The dealer will honor any recall or extended warranty that effects your vehicle...
few issues though, 2AAF is caused by the low pressure fuel sensor and/or funky engine adaption valves.
you need to clear the adaptions and see if 2AAF will clear. If the fault does not clear you need a low pressure fuel sensor.
30FC I think is boost pressure deactivation which is consequence of 2AAF.
good luck getting a dealer to put a HPD in with those faults unless your barely running or long cranking on cold start. Even then they may want you to buy a low pressure sensor before they entertain a warranty HDP replacement.
