Hi all-I searched the forums and could not find a situation quite like this. Was hoping that someone here could provide some opinion/insights...
I installed a dice (aka audiovox) mediabridge two years ago on my 2000 e46. Until now, it's worked flawlessly for phone calls and listening to podcasts through my iphone. Yesterday however, the Bluetooth quit working. It will only say "USB" (not "Bluetooth"), then the display will show "detached" and I can't get it to do anything after that.
Any thoughts? Has this happened to anyone?
Initially, I thought that it might be a connector that might have worked it's way loose, but from the few things that I've found on this... there is a trick about disconnecting the car battery, then touching the pos/neg battery leads together. I suppose that resets the mediabridge?
thanks for the feedback, hoping to get opinions before I go debug this on Saturday.
thanks, dan

Yup, try this BMW approved process:
- disconnect the negative cable from the battery
- repeat for the positive cable
- short the cables together for 10 minutes
- reconnect the positive cable
- repeat for the negative cable (sparks are ok)
- reset the clock.
Happened to me after I jump started another car. The malfunctioning of the DICE unit was accompanied by another weird problem: no sound from any speaker except the RR tweeter unless the car was turning right???!?! Tre BMW approved reset fixed both issues.
