Looking to refresh or upgrade my cooling system on '96 E38 750iL, has 65K milies. I've read, and researched a lot of about the Zionsville cooling kits, and would love to try it out, but I just can't justify spending that much on just the cooling setup. Does anyone have a similar and cost efficient setup, or recommends something a bit better than the OEM setup.
I've had the Zionsville for a few years now, and the peace of mind that you get with it, is worth the asking price! IMO

I've read a bit about the Zionsville kit and while it's great for peace of mind, simply going through and replacing the hoses, rad, and an 88C thermostat should suffice for normal peace of mind.

another Zionsville guy here, I recommend it to everyone. My cooling system has been "set it and forget it" since I installed it. For guys that can't swing it and have to do a normal refresh, I recommend making the switch to Evan's Waterless Coolant. It will arguably prolong the life of the cooling systems because of the absence of pressure in the system. I can get the car up to running temperature, open the filler cap, and nothing happens .......it just sits there......awesome!
