The 99-01 E38 Sport Package Comfort Seats are pretty darn good.

Do Recaros count? Cause the "BMW Performance" seats are awesome at their stated goal but not truly a BMW seat.

Ugh. Vaders look so awesome, but man, my back....

    - 98 m3, techno/anthrazit cloth, 124k and officially worthless - 89 m3, alpine/black 143k and officially old - 2000 323it, tiag/grey, 169k and officially boring

Okay, so everyone's nutting themselves over the Vaders, I can only assume they have never had a ride or drive with the sport active seats, there are 2-3 settings and the seats are linked to the lateral accel sensor, and actually inflate the seat bolsters to counter-act the centrifugal force when cornering, then relax as the car straightens out. Very comfortable, No back-ache, no chiropractor. Not sure if they're equipped with cooling feature as found on the 7s.
