    E38 Resurrection- lefty loosey?

Hi all, replacing my chain guides has been put on the back burner for a while but finally have time to get things moving again. Just bought a crankshaft pulley holding tool and was about to attempt removal of the pulley retaining bolt but seem to remember some discussion about whether the bolt was a 'normal ' lefty loosey thread or a 'righty' loosey! Could someone please clarify what it is please.
    Thanks john

Hmm. Was shifting with a lot of force so rang a bmw mechanic who confirmed bolt was lefty loosely! Bolt now off!! Any recommendations for type of puller to remove pulley mounting widget to then allow timing chain housing cover to come off? Ta John

There are several bolts holding that pulley on. Once those are out it should just come loose, I don't recall needing a puller to remove it. Maybe just tapping it with a rubber mallet?

Only left hand thread parts are the fan clutch and the camshaft bolts (and timing wheel on top of them).
