Hi im a new e30 owner and I have a question about a problem that occured.
So while i was driving i heard a hissing noise that became louder super quick. Thenh hot coolant spilled out my ac vent (in the footwell). I pulled over and got it towed back to my place. I assumed it was the heater core that failed but after reading some forums nobody indacted any coolant that leaked on the ground (near the front left of the vehicle) so im not too sure what happened.

That does sound like a heater core or something running to it.

Heater core, shut off valve or supply lines. Pull the lower dash cover and inspect.
