Check control and stereo

How's it going everybody! I've got an 84 e30 m50 swap. After sitting for a while we finally got this frankencar running great! After driving for a couple of days inotice when I turn the car off the radio and check control panel doesn't turn off. What would cause this? I don't want to drain the battery and such. The check panel will flick once when the key is moved to the off position. No change on radio. Wiring has not been messed with. Stereo is hooked up properly. Windows don't work with key off. Just check and radio. Please anyone help!?!?!

I would check the wiring since it's a 'frankencar' to make sure everything is as it should be - there may be a cross somewhere.

We went through the entire harness adapter to plug. Relay to harness. Everything does what it's supposed to when it should other than the stereo and check control panel. Literally hours of searching. We even pulled the lock cylinder to check for burns or corrosion... Nothing

Have you checked which of the wires to your radio is/are providing the 12v constantly?
I once bought a car that had completely random wire coloring to the radio, so I never trust those blindly.
That's all I got though.
