AHK flexi lines
So what is the reason that the hardlines to the AHK accumulator system are finished with 2 high-pressure flexi hoses? Is it to do with ease of installation/removal or because there is some movement when the system is active? I ask because both of mine developed serious leaks at the same time (lucky me), and I was 300+ miles away from home, so I managed to get to a local garage just as the steering was starting to grind due to lack of oil. Due to needing to get back on the road I authorised them to install copper pipe sections with the right pressure fittings and then pulled the relays to deactivate the system. I am however relucted to reactivate it if the hardlines are in danger of twisting and breaking.
If I had a penny for everytime someone commented on my poor fuel economy, I'd have enough to get it to the petrol station.
