I tried searching but didn't see anything to answer my question.
what have you all used as replacement for rotors and pads?
i usually like to go with OEM parts, but it looks like OEM is almost triple of what I could spend with other options.
would love to hear your favorite brands that don't cost over $100 per rotor!
thanks
edit: I am asking specifically for my 1988 735i automatic, but assume there's not much difference in quality of brands between 750, 735, 740, etc.

Exactly what vehicle are you referring to?
Model-yr-engine?
Updated model specs, thanks!
ATE are not that expensive in the online shops.
Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
I'm using Bosch QuietCast pads and rotors. I have no issues with them. Dusting isn't too bad either.
Thanks for the replies, I ended up going through AutohausAZ, and got rotors, pads and some other misc. items for a fair price, with free shipping! I have used them many times before and "usually" have good results.
Edit: forgot to mention I ended up getting Bosch QuietCast rotors and pads, will try to post results and feedback once installed.

Well I hope you get your dream car. If you wait, I read in 2018 there will be a new Z4 released for the 2020 year. Around 20 years ago I owned this Z3 for 11 months. It was just a four banger, but I'll never forget it. Bought it on a whim, had some surgery and could not get in and out of the thing without being in pain. Sold it to a neighbor for exactly what I paid for it. I loved it.

Thanks,
and I will wait and see what 2020 brings.
I also previously owned a 1996 Z3 Roadster (5 Speed) E36/7 2004-2007
Mine was silver, but I definitely would have preferred the color you had!
