I have a couple of rock tings on the front grills. One looks like the grit is still in there. Is that something clay bar might work on? The other is more of a small chop so I am thinking possible replacement but this car is my highway work commuter so I get a lot of road grit. Is there a patch type touch up for chrome that will allow me to extend the period between replacement?
Nope. Unless it is tar that can be removed with some GooGone.
Yeah it looks like chrome but its plastic. After I saw you post I went on Ebay. Luckily they are dirt cheap to replace Thanks for the response

Keep in mind that no cheap aftermarket part fits like OEM.
If you have time and are willing to get creative, but some paint protection film and try wrapping chrome section of your new grill.
