Z3 Wheel/Tire combo question

Hi all Hate the wheels and tires on my Z3. I was browsing craigslist and came across a couple sets I liked and the price seemed fair on, and wanted to get some input...

I like these ones, but will the 225/50 R17 tire size cause any issues with rubbing in turns, etc?


Also found a set of M Parrallel wheels that undoubtedly will need tires. Sellers asking 500$ for them, but figure itll be at least another 400-500 for tires.

Offsets matter as much as diameters. You can calculate for yourself. Go here to see all BMW wheels. http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/40 You can see widths, offsets, diameters. If you don't have the wheel number, you can scan the whole list for a picture. You can get tire widths and diameters from Tirerack.

But for $400, go for it, if the wheels are clean and true. You could sell the tires and put on some 40 or 45 series.
