in for the deets. for $3500 it'd be allowed to have a few things wrong with it for sure, and from pix and descrip it sure looked like a reasonable $3500 wagon.

but if you think 3-pedal E39's grow on trees, yer smokin the bad crack, and its worse for Tourings, most of which went to upscale suburban soccer mom's who have zero.zero interest in rowing.

Yeah and if you want actual power in your E39 touring then you're out of luck unless you either want to pay a large premium for an already-swapped 540it or do the swap yourself.

I see from your thread about shipping a car that your headed to S.F.
First, I hope you have a job lined up, and 2nd, that you're prepared for the cost of living there.
But if you want a wagon or any BMW , it's the place to buy one. I had to wait it out for the one I just got, for two years.

Both wifey and I have jobs lined up and it's actually going to be cheaper than our current situation in Manhattan (it's all relative obviously). Looking forward to expanding the fleet without having to deal with rust issues

Haha, that's like the only time SF seems cheaper, when you're coming from Manhattan :P I lived in NYC for 21 years before I moved to Phoenix, and I can't say I'd ever want to go back there.

NYC is a great place, but, you have to be a hard-core inner-city person to live there.

Or megabucks loaded so you can have a place 'in the country' and one in the city. I could totally roll w/ a setup like that. But my bucks are not mega'd unfortunately.
