Greetings BMW fans.
I get this intermittent light that appears sometimes when I start the car. I can turn off the car, then restart it and majority of the time it goes away. What is this light about, can anyone please provide feedback in resolving it ?
big thanks !

Check for burned ground connections to the tail light (brown wire) and check all bulbs including the license plate light.

thank you !!! for the feedback. I'll certainly research the rear light fix and the ground connections and bulbs as recommended
sure wish my 2007 z4 had this feature... the cost of taking my car to the bmw dealership to find out what bulb is causing my 'exterior bulb failure' cluster indicator is the dumbest thing ever...
It is seriously the worst thing about my bmw.
I'd check to see if there's a recall on the tail lights. Early E46 sedans had a problem with the ground wire (always brown in a BMW) was melting as it was undersized and couldn't handle the current.
Might be worth it to check the bulbs filliment condition and size.
