Looking for the absolute best mechanic to take a look at a e60 m5 for a buddy in the greater Chicago area, I thought I'd post here as I've spent most of my time on the e36 boards and you guys have been super helpful! Please let me know of your recommendations. Thanks for your time!

I'm not sure where your buddy is located, but I've been going to D & R Autoworks (in Highland Park) http://www.drautoworks.com/ and they always do very thorough inspections of the car.
They complete the inspection with easy to read printouts and photos. I recommend them very highly.
