    DriveTrain Malfunction 535i F10

I know there have been many issues related to this topic and i have pretty much read it all but none relates to mine or help solve the problem.
on my 2012 535i with 70k miles. when i push hard to accelerate i get alert “Drivetrain Malfunction. Drive moderately. Maximum drivetrain output not available. Consult Service Center.”
If i restart the car the error goes away but comes back on hard acceleration. i couldn't find any codes via OBD scanner.

Someone suggested that if battery voltage is low it does that sometimes but i have charged my battery and voltage is good but it still does it.

I also recently read somewhere that it could be my
    Pressure Converter (11-74-7-584-628).
now sure if its true but is there a way to tell if that is bad before i replace it. also i am not even sure where its located.

Any help will be appreciated as i am out of warranty.

A CEL, SES or Drivetrain Malfunction is just an indicator there is something wrong. It's like a notification on your phone you have a text message.... you have little chance of guessing what it is until you read it. Same goes with your car. Pull the fault codes as a starting point, making guesses otherwise is a waste of time.

You're pissing in the wind without the codes. There are codes there, even if your generic scanner can't read them. That's why a proper scan, with a real BMW diagnostic tool is a must with these cars.

E11474: No message (Display, Check Control Bypass, EMF 0x36F), receiver KOMBI, transmitter EMF/DSC
EMF is the electronic parking brake functionality of the rear calipers, DSC is the traction control system but it has its hands in half the cookie jars in the car so its possibility is great and wide.

    B7F668: Not a valid code per ISTA/D

Both are listed as Active: 0 (Not active)

Quit being stubborn and have the car actually looked at.

These cars need to run thru ista which will probably have a test plan, it's really the only way, your just spinning your wheels try a good independent shop

That car was probably every bit of 55K if not more when new. It doesn't matter if your first owner, second owner, third owner or tenth it's going to cost 55K + car money to repair and maintain.
i love people who constantly bitch about the dealer and refer to them as "stealers" but who do you go to when you have a real problem nobody else can resolve...
Careful about that stealer crap here as there are plenty of awesome dealer techs who frequent this site and offer advice FOR FREE. You may not get any kind of assistance in the future

    Update.....

So I finally figured out what was going in. It was my oil filter housing that was leaking and oil was dripping down in my belt...now when I used to speed up the belt used to slip causing drive train malfunction error.

    Update 2:
FYI for users who dont have oil leaking issue..if they getting drivetrain malfunction error during pressing hard on accelerator and getting the code on ISTAD "120308 Charging pressure control, plausibility pressure too low". they should look in to their boost solenoid. they go bad very frequently and needs to be changed. most likely thats the cluprit before you get in to changing bunch of things at dealer.

I just got my 535i and got this exact same error and it was only when I hit the highway going 90KM/hr or more. Took it to my mechanic who took it to BMW and they did scan it and it was the boost presssure selenoid, same as what you had.
