What M3 parts should I take?

    I am doing a Ls1/T56 swap into my E46 wagon. It is a 2000 323i.

I found a 2002 M3 'for parts'. It was hit in front. Other than accident damage, the car looks great. 85k miles.

My plan is to replace all of my car's old, worn out parts with everything from the M3. My logic is, where else can I get cheaper parts that perform so much better?

I already contacted the guy about buying the entire rear end - driveshaft, diff, subframe, brakes, axles, etc etc. So I'll be getting new, low mileage bushings, suspension, 3.62 LSD, huge brakes, sway bar, etc.

But I was curious what other parts 1) will fit and 2) are worth taking.
I was thinking if it's possible to take the front suspension as well? struts, control arms, sway bar, etc.
I was looking for a list of "all the parts that are compatible between m3 and wagon" but couldn't find much.

What do you recommend? The car is about 60 miles away. So think of it as "grab XX while you're there". Of course, parts aren't free, but he's open to package deals.

Oh, man. Is the engine for that M3 available to you?

the car is complete - currently runs and drives with the front end damage, or so the ad says.

not interested in the s54 though. already got a better drivetrain for less $$

Rear subframe, grab the entire thing including diff. It should handle your LT1 better, plus the front suspension and steering.

yep. I originally contacted him to get the rear end, then I thought of the front end stuff.

The steering is a good point. What all do I need? Also, what is the advantage? Is this because you think the steering ratio of the m3 is better? Everything just bolts up?
